New Extra Compact Ronda Ride-On Sweeper Introduced
We have recently added another vehicle to our highly successful range of urban cleaning machines - the new Ronda ride-on vacuum sweeper.
With a cleaning capacity of 12,000 square metres per hour, the Ronda is the ideal solution for sweeping small to medium sized urban areas, such as pedestrian arcades, cycle paths, sports facilities and car parks. Ronda is a very compact vehicle. It is just 2.6 metres long and one metre wide, but has a cleaning width of 1.75 metres, with the retractable third sweeping brush.
Ronda combines the best of two traditional sweeping technologies. It has both a large vacuum head and a rotating main brush. The brush loosens and lifts the dirt and debris before they are collected by the powerful vacuum system. The brush runs the full width of the machine and rotates against the travel of the vehicle. This means Ronda is capable of collecting most types of litter encountered in a typical urban environment, including fast food packaging, cans, bottles and leaves. Its cleaning ability is further improved by an innovative third brush that will clean both sides of the vehicle simply by changing its direction of rotation from the operators cabin.
Its large 300 litre hopper capacity enables the vehicle to clean for long periods without emptying. When required, the hopper can be elevated to a height of 1350mm for discharging directly into a skip. Furthermore Ronda sweeps without creating dust, as tiny particles are retained within a unique filter system. This means that cleaning takes place without inconveniencing the public. An optional vacuum hose can be fitted for reaching into inaccessible corners.
The Ronda is designed with the operator in mind. Access to the single seater cab is easy from either side. The driving position provides excellent all round visibility, whilst the controls are conveniently located for optimum driver performance. Power steering, as well as adding to the drivers comfort, ensures that Ronda is extremely manoeuvrable and can clean in the most confined spaces.
The Ronda has four large wheels and balanced front axle braking, which mean that it can easily climb pavements. The main sweeping brushes are fitted with automatic levelling devices to follow the contours of the ground. Rotation speed is regulated from the drivers cab, depending on the nature of the area to be swept.
A low pressure water spray completes the cleaning equipment and is used for dust suppression. Commenting on the new Ronda, Peter Crewe, Euromec's Managing Director, said. "Ronda is an excellent addition to our range of sweeping vehicles. It is an ideal machine for cleaning enclosed urban areas. I am confident that Ronda will be well received by cleaning contractors and town and city council cleansing departments, as it represents an extremely cost effective alternative to other sweeping methods."
