Euromec Quick Off The Mark To See Patsy Through 2005 Dakar

Market Harborough-based Euromec, supplier of industrial and municipal cleaning machines has secured a sponsorship deal with Patsy Quick, the only British woman to have ever attempted the famous Dakar Rally on a motorcycle.

The sponsorship, a first for Euromec, leads up to the 27th Dakar, which sets off from Barcelona on 1st January 2005 and lasts for a gruelling 20 days.

In return for helping to fund Patsy’s participation in this unique sporting event, Euromec’s logo with its fox’s head, designed to represent Euromec as a Leicestershire company, will appear on Patsy’s bike, helmet and support team’s vehicles.

With my passion for motorcycles, this was an opportunity I couldn’t pass on. The Barcelona Dakar Rally will be the third time that Patsy, a member of Team Desert Rose, has attempted the Dakar challenge, although she has yet to reach the finishing line. However with Euromec’s support, it is hoped that 2005 will be a successful year for Patsy Quick.
