A Clean Sweep At The Mailbox

One of the key shopping venues in Birmingham, The Mailbox takes pride in its image. Cleanliness is a top priority and, thanks to cleaning machine supplier, Euromec, the floors of The Mailbox are gleaming!

The Mailbox, which opened in 2000, combines a mixture of designer fashion boutiques such as Harvey Nichols, Emporio Armani and Hugo Boss; two hotels; luxury apartments, and numerous restaurants and café bars. It is also the regional home to a number of leading businesses including BBC Birmingham.

As a prestigious retail and lifestyle development, The Mailbox requires high standards of cleanliness. One of its main objectives is to ensure that there is no litter on the floor for more than 10 minutes. Made from Chinese granite, the floor must have the very best in cleaning equipment to maintain its bright colour. So The Mailbox set out to find a machine that would produce spectacular cleaning results.

Euromec was selected as one of seven companies to demonstrate the performance of its machines. The Metro and GO scrubber-dryers were chosen as the machines to use. The Metro is a high performance ride-on scrubber dryer with a pre-sweep option and 6000 square metre per hour cleaning capacity, making it ideal for heavy duty industrial or commercial applications. The GO is a low-cost compact scrubber dryer specifically designed for cleaning smaller commercial and industrial areas. Not only does it clean exceptionally well, but it also leaves the floor completely dry.

Alison Harper, Operations Manager at The Mailbox was impressed with their ability to achieve a visibly cleaner floor after just one demonstration. "Both the Metro and GO machines have proved to be very efficient and a cost effective way to maintain the granite flooring". Based on these results and the fact that the machines are easy to operate by the in-house cleaning staff, Euromec was chosen as the preferred supplier.

Alison continued, "Euromec have provided an excellent sales and after-sales service. Although there are no current plans to purchase any more cleaning equipment at present, we would definitely consider Euromec in the future for any replacements."
