Powerflex Performs Highland Fling
Since its introduction in 2004, word of just how good the Powerflex is has spread like wildfire. Bob McLeish, Area Supervisor for West Dunbartonshire Council in Scotland, said: “After a demonstration, we were so impressed we bought three! The Powerflex is the most versatile grounds machine I’ve seen. Its reputation does it justice!”
West Dunbartonshire includes the towns of Dumbarton and Clydebank, plus the Vale of Leven district. Powerful machinery was required to keep parks, roads and pavements clean, clear and safe. With Euromec’s impeccable track record and long experience in grounds maintenance, the council looked no further. Now with a fleet of Powerflex at its disposal, the job has never been so swift, simple and efficient.
Powerflex is a unique concept a common chassis with a range of interchangeable attachments. These mount onto the chassis using simple over centre locks that require no tools and offer a variety of maintenance functions. The chassis is a tough, four wheel drive, diesel powered unit that features powered steering and is just one metre wide. A hydraulic drive system means Powerflex is easy to maintain and produces less noise.
All attachments on the Powerflex are controlled from the drivers cab. This contains a comfortable seat with adjustable suspension, which prevents operator fatigue. Heating and ventilation is provided and ergonomically placed controls ensure it is user-friendly and offers the highest level of comfort possible.
West Dunbartonshire Council opted for the brush, plough, gritter and suction hose attachments. These allow Powerflex to keep parks, roads and walkways free from dirt, snow or debris and safe for people to use. Euromec is a leading supplier of municipal cleaning equipment and recently celebrated 20 years of being in the business.
