Snow Business
The freezing weather of December and January was treacherous. Heavy snow brought chaos to the roads and forced traffic to a standstill, preventing thousands of people going about their normal business. Icy pathways were dangerous to walk on, and water pipes froze leaving homes without heating.
Conventional street sweepers proved ineffective against the heavy snow, which cost unprepared local authorities and councils a fortune in plough rentals. Some even had to clear roads and pavements by hand - a laborious, time-consuming process.
However, councils fortunate enough to own one of our Powerflex multi-purpose grounds maintenance machines were able to shift snow and ice quickly and efficiently, leaving streets and paths safe to drive or walk on.
Powerflex has interchangeable attachments that enable it to perform all manner of outdoor tasks. These include a snow plough, blower and sweeper, plus a salt spreader for gritting. Operators can swap the attachments in a matter of minutes.
The bad weather prompted a surge in Powerflex sales - we sold out of machines and winter attachments in days! We have since received some outstanding feedback, mainly from customers praising Powerflex’s remarkable versatility.
Snow Business is a special newsletter about Powerflex’s recent popularity. It contains application stories from companies and local councils, as well as technical information.
