A Kubota RTV500 being prepared in our workshop last week. Now delivered to site this is one of two identical machines that will be used by DB Schenker to check trains using the Channel Tunnel. Fitted with doors and spot lights they will work 24 hours a day helping operators visually check the whole train as it arrives in the UK. Note that they have doors on the cabs to keep the operators warm and dry.
Kubota RTV500 Versatility and Reliability
Known for their strong performance and outstanding reliability these machines are top sellers. Part of a range of four different models, more information about this machine is available in the utility vehicle section of our web site.
Kubota’s new RTV’s are brilliantly popular; users love the nippy go anywhere performance and owners love the rugged build and metronomic reliability. We sell them to farmers wanting a small utility vehicle to fetch and carry, estate owners that want a way of getting around quickly and to companies for general transport and maintenance tasks.
One of the attractions of the Kubota RTV range is its high quality cab and interior. Users adapt quickly to the control layout and driving position, both being very similar to their car. Also, having wide door openings enables the driver to hop in and out easily as required.
Recently one of our customers wanted an RTV with a weatherproof cab as in their application the driver would be in the cab at night and for long periods. This meant doors had to be added. RTV doors are not an option from Kubota, so we designed and built the doors.
Kubota RTV Doors
Glazed and weatherproof, they not only seal the cab but also provide unimpeded views with both high level and low level windows. Lockable and hinged they can be retrofitted to existing RTV400 and 500 models as well as specified on a new machine.
Warehouses are hectic places with the emphasis on efficiency. Nothing is allowed to stop product picking or put away. This leaves little time for housekeeping. Euromec’s new Slalom sweeper thrives in this environment.
Powerful Floor Sweeper
Compact and powerful, the Slalom industrial sweeper is a slim 800mm wide machine with swinging side brushes that produce a 1100mm swept width. This means it can work in narrow aisles, ally ways and throughout a warehouse. Being a ride-on machine means it is quick and efficient with the potential to sweep over 6000 square metres an hour.
Battery Powered Electric Machine
Slalom is an electric sweeper with its rear wheels driven by a powerful electric motor. Power comes from twin 24 volt batteries that will keep the sweeper working for a whole shift. Weighing in at only 185 kgs, Slalom manoeuvres easily through doorways and between buildings adding to its versatility.
Dust Free Sweeping
Slalom’s excellent sweeping performance is a result of its forward throw sweeping system and fully vacuumised side brushes. This floor sweeper does not make dust as it works, unlike most of its competitors. Collected dust and debris is thrown into the Slalom’s rear mounted hopper which has a generous 3 square metre filter system to clean the exhausted air and contain any dust. An electric filter shaker completes the sweeping system and keeps the filters efficient by knocking off any dust that clings to the filter element.
Easy to Use
Operators love this machine. They sit at the front and have an excellent view of their working area. Light and intuitive controls fall easily to hand, their familiar layout being just like a car. Having the hopper at the back means that Slalom cleans into corners and around obstructions, an optional on-board vacuum cleaner ensures that all areas can be cleaned.
Large Range of Hard Surface Cleaners
Slalom is one of Euromec’s 34 different hard surface sweepers. From a small walk behind machine to a municipal road sweeper all are built to work reliably for many years in the toughest environments. Euromec provides service and spare parts for all its machines from a central head office in Leicestershire.
