Lawn Tractors
A common form of ride-on mower is the lawn tractor. These resemble a small agricultural tractor, with the cutting deck mounted amidships. The most common transmission for a ride-on mower is a manual transmission. The alternative is a form of continuously variable transmission called hydrostatic. Hydrostatic transmissions are easier to use and transmit greater torque to the wheels compared to a typical mechanical transmission.
